It’s the ability to:
stay grounded when the topic feels heavy
listen without preparing a defense
speak without trying to control the outcome
It’s the ability to remain steady
when the conversation could shift.
What Disrupts It
Most tension in money conversations doesn’t come from disagreement.
It comes from:
unspoken expectations
past experiences
internal reactions that haven’t been examined
So instead of responding to the present moment…
People react from what they’ve carried forward.

Instead of asking:
“How do we fix this conversation?”
Ask:
“How am I showing up in this conversation?”
Because the quality of the conversation
is shaped by the emotional state you bring into it.
The Invitation

Do you:
stay present

No judgment.
